Recycle your old ironing board
Don’t toss that old metal Ironing board yet. They make great art pieces and peg boards. What!!!!??? Did she say ART? Yes I did!!
This Ironing board was half off $3.99 at Goodwill, with broken legs. Who needs an ironing board anyway? Not me lol.
Easy Peasy How To:
Remove the legs.
Paint (with Shabby Paint of course:)
Add some cute vinyl letters, a stencil, or free hand. (I’m not that talented)
Use S hooks or pegboard hooks and you have art and storage for a tight space.
Limited Space? No problem hang vertical on the back of a door.

How did you remove the legs from the ironing board?
Denise I unscrewed them at the base. 🙂

My metal ironing board is not put together with screws. It is like rivited together. I tried using a screw driver and hammer to loosen rivits but it is denting the top. How can I get the legs off without damaging the top?
Hi Leona, Here is an article with 3 ways to remove the rivets. Hope this helps.
