Stain and Protect With One Product

So I got a steal on this adorable little art deco side table. The only problem was the top veneer was warped and it had lots of little scratches and nicks.  Of course it would have been cute painted but it had personality already so I went with it.

I peeled off the damaged veneer with a putty knife, lightly sanded, and applied 3 coats of Hazelnut reVAX to the top with a damp VAX applicator sponge (the wood under the veneer was a lot nicer than I would have imagined 🙂

I applied Hazelnut reVAX to the rest of it to freshen it up and to get rid of the scratches. Finally I painted the handles with Buffalo brown and then Copper Kettle Glaze. Easy way to freshen up a dull piece of furniture!
